Korean style yuzu dressing has been a popular Korean salad dressing in recent years. It’s slightly sweet, tangy and fruity. I love pairing it with my garden salad!
Yuja (유자), also known as yuzu, is my latest favorite cooking ingredient.
I normally use it in a form of yuja / yuzu marmalade (Yuja-cheong, 유자청), which can be bought from a local Korean grocer or Amazon. Of course, you can make it at home using my yuzu marmalade recipe too.
Anyway, do you have this bottle of yuzu marmalade in your fridge without realizing its full potential?
Many Korean food lovers use it to make some hot tea called Yujacha (유자차, Korean citron tea). But, guess what! Yuzu marmalade is not just for tea. Among other things, you can make some salad dressing, fruity dipping sauce, ice sorbet etc. You can even glaze it over your Christmas ham. It tastes fruity wonderful!
Now back to today’s topic – yuzu dressing. Typically, Koreans pair yuzu dressing (yuja sauce, 유자 소스) with shredded chicken salad, seafood salad or just with some garden salad mix. It gives a light, sweet and tangy flavor, so it is particularly great during the warmer months.
Any, I hope you try my yuzu dressing recipe soon and let me know what you thought of it!
P.S. If you like yuzu flavor, you might like to try my other yuzu based recipe – honey citron iced tea (This is my favorite summer drink! Ready in 1 minute.)
